Twas the night before.... Schaefer's birthday, and we got a birthday surprise:
We awoke the next morning, and couldn't believe our eyes!
Snow came falling in a fair amount,
With too many presents for one to even count!
A gift from her hubby, just may be her favorite:
He's so amazing because he homemade it ;)
A beautiful tree with presents up to our ears,
there may be enough to last till next year.
Thank you dear family for treating us so well,
while we're in the Northwest where it is as cold as... Canada
Your thoughts and gifts have warmed our heart,
It made life easier while we are apart
We took a few pictures by the tree,
What a beautiful wife, aren't I lucky?!
Consider this our Christmas Card from us to you,
this one's a keeper- Don't I look good in blue?!
Our Christmas dinner, a feast for at least ten;
Which meant awesome leftovers again and again,
Here are our stockings, so plump and stuffed;
thanks Mama Bell for making them tough!
Here are our spoils, and we had just begun;
for our first Christmas was a memorable one
Merry Christmas a little late, I hope you don't mind;
Most definitely next year, we will be on time!
How very clever and fun!! Great pictures of our favorite Washington-ites! Love you and miss you, seems like a dream that we were able to see you a few days during Christmas. Thanks again for coming. Everyone loved it. I was 'reading' your wedding book with Caroline last night before they left and she kept pointing you both out and saying your names! Now she is old enough to remember you!
